THE PROBLEM
The project to build a place of learning in Kampung Kensau aims to help indigenous people who do not have access to education which are many aboriginal children who drop out and do not have access to education due to the distance traveled to school is very far.Their parents also have to use vehicles to send their children to school yet their parents cannot afford for gas or fuel on a daily basis. As there is no place, they cannot run any programs such as workshops, talks and so on to educate the children in the village. In addition, there is no place for teachers or volunteers to stay to carry out activities in the community.
THE SOLUTION
I see it from the point of view of education which is now lagging behind among the Orang Asli community, especially those living in the interior. Now with the pandemic that hit the world, many aboriginal children and young people are unable to attend classes directly due to the pandemic and even online classes because there is no access to the internet.
With the construction of this study place, it can help them run programs such as classes, meetings, or community activities in the village. This will help a large number of students who dropout of school to get a local education and also their parents will not have to incur expenses for transportation.
