THE PROBLEM
We believe resources are limited during this crisis and should be coordinated with NGOs and partners to sustain a consistent supply of medical and essential needs to FRONTLINERS and to avoid wastage.
As so, the #RumahKita Movement aims to provide assistance for Frontliners to deal with the COVID19 crisis in cases where equipment is inadequate/unable to reach medical teams in time.
THE SOLUTION
MyDiplomacy- Health Diplomacy Foundation, along with 4 other NGOs (Me.Reka Space, Biji-Biji Initiative, TedXKL, #KitaJagaKita & 100&Project) formed a grassroots coalition of NGOs called the #RumahKita (Reaching out & Uniting Malaysians Assisting our Hospitals) which aims to fulfill verified requests by coordinating logistics, manufacturers, suppliers, donors, and any other relevant parties. The coalition stands to show that even from home, we can each do our part.
All requests from frontline medical teams are channeled to our hotline number (+60 11-2628 8762) and will be verified before being fulfilled by our coalition and partners.
THE IMPACT
With the funds, we can support the following hospitals in Kuala Lumpur/Putrajaya:
We are in touch with the hospitals mentioned above formally, but we've been catering to requests received from hospitals all over Malaysia (depending on urgency, including a few in east Malaysia and many community clinics within Selangor).
While we encourage donation in-kind, any amount of money raised will be used to purchase QUALITY PPE for our FRONTLINERS such as the following:
